QNE SpyDER Black Box Datalogger

The QNE SpyDER Black Box Datalogger Edition features the collection of high-resolution time series data of electrical properties as well as meter readings from almost arbitrary sensor networks of Datastream multifunction transducers. Measured Data is stored on internal or external USB media. Of course, media changes are accomodated without interrupting the data collecting process. With USB-Flash media, the datalogger is a system without any moving parts. With its rugged aluminium casing and electromagnetic shielding, the QNE SpyDER is a true black box for your power system.

Applications include power quality monitoring, datalogging for asset management purposes (invest in your power grid only where you really need to and find assets with low capacity utilisation), wide area measurement systems, contractual recording purposes, fault finding and error diagnostics. Apart from changing USB-media, the QNE SpyDER Black Box Datalogger is completely maintenance-free. Of course the time series are equidistant. You can use the Internet to synchronise the clock of the Datalogger so that all your data are timestamped with near atomic clock accuracy. Radio clock synchronisation or GPS clock synchronisation are optional. Of course, failsafe, redundant operation is supported as well. You can even create a full Sensor-RAID (redundant array of independent devices) out of your sensor network.

The QNE SpyDER Black Box comes with the QNE Event Replayer Software which allows graphical searching in recorded time series, annotating data and exporting to Microsoft(TM) Excel or Openoffice Calc.

QNE SpyDER Gateway: everything you see occurs in realtime

The QNE SPyDER Gateway expands on the functionality of the datalogger edition. realtime data can be communicated over the internet or in your private intranet as fits your needs. With the Gateway option, you can also use the various QNE Profiler Software Tools for online-realtime analysis of power data, install an Energy Profiling Display, big screen marketing and so on.

Alternatively, QNE SpyDER Gateway can be configured to interface directly with your EAI-Software, your database or your webserver. If you want the QNE Energy Profiler Software, you need at least the QNE SpyDER Gateway version. A remote QNE SpyDER firmware upgrade to gateway functionality is included in the QNE Energy Profiler License.

QNE SPyDER Energy Management

The QNE Spyder Energy Management Edition is our flagship product for full energy management. Applications include load switching, interfacing to CHP or photovoltaic inverters, industrial peak-load management, (distribution) power grid control, automatic power bill reduction, and so on. With QNE SpyDER Energy Management you can forget about peak shaving and start peak shaping!
